Advantages of a membership for Iranian faculty members and academics
Iranian faculty members and academics have the opportunity to actively participate in research projects in Germany, as well as get involved in social projects in Iran. Furthermore, stimulating meetings and lectures in which you can establish new contacts are free of charge for members.
Advantages of a membership for Iranian students
Stimulating conferences and lecture are free of charge for Iranian students which are members of the VIHA. You may also have the opportunity to engage in social projects in Iran. Moreover you can also actively participate in research projects in Germany. Another positive aspect is the possibility to establish interesting and useful contacts. VIHA provides its members additionally the opportunity to make use of their network.
Formalities
Conditions for a membership at VIHA
Regular membership
All Iranian faculty members and academics respectively all faculty members and academics of Iranian origin who are active in the Federal Republic of Germany respectively have their residence in Germany can apply for full membership at VIHA.
Full members have active and passive electoral rights. The annual membership fee amounts to EUR 100.
Iranian students-membership
All Iranian students studying in the Federal Republic of Germany can apply for membership at VIHA upon presentation of the current enrollment certification. However, the students- membership ends after graduation and / or lack of the current enrollment certification.
Members of the group "Iranian students" have no electoral rights. They can not elect the board nor be elected to the board. The annual membership fee amounts to EUR 40.
Iranian academics who are non-resident in Germany - membership
All Iranian academics who are non-resident in Germany may become members of VIHA if they can identify themselves with the purpose of the association and would like to get involved academically and socially.
Members of the group “Iranian academics who are non-resident In Germany” have no electoral rights. They cannot elect the board nor be elected to the board. The annual membership fee amounts to EUR 150.
Non-Iranian academics – membership
All non-Iranian academics may become members of VIHA if they can identify themselves with the purpose of the association and would like to get involved academically and socially.
Members of the group “non-Iranian academics” have no electoral rights. They cannot elect the board nor be elected to the board. The annual membership fee amounts to EUR 100.
Interested – membership
All interested persons may become members of VIHA if they can identify themselves with the purpose of the association and would like to get involved academically and socially.
Members of the group “interested” have no electoral rights. They cannot elect the board nor be elected to the board. The annual membership fee amounts to EUR 100.
Note
The membership is at least one year and automatically renewed unless terminated. Membership can be terminated by fax or by post at the end of a fiscal year. Terminations of the membership should be made by November 30, so that the Association can make timely cancellation of contributions before the new year.
A justification is not required, but would be very helpful to the board for improving quality.
